ABSTRACT

Compound Qinlan Oral Liquid (,CQOL) is derived from Yinqiao San (), which is composed of Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Lianqiao (Forsythiae Fructus) and Banlangen (Isatidis Radix). It is a common clinical herbal medicine for clearing heat and detoxification, and has antiviral effects. By reviewing the active ingredients of CQOL and the research progress on its anti-influenza virus and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) efficacy, with view to providing a basis for the clinical use of CQOL in treatment of respiratory diseases caused by SARS-CoV-2.Copyright © 2023 Editorial Office of Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs. ABSTRACT

Dayuanyin (DYY) has been shown to reduce lung inflammation in both coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and lung injury. This experiment was designed to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of action of DYY against hypoxic pulmonary hypertension (HPH) and to evaluate the effect of DYY on the protection of lung function. Animal welfare and experimental procedures are approved and in accordance with the provision of the Animal Ethics Committee of the Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Science. Male C57/BL6J mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: control group, model group, DYY group (800 mg.kg-1), and positive control sildenafil group (100 mg.kg-1). The animals were given control solvents or drugs by gavage three days in advance. On day 4, the animals in the model group, DYY group and sildenafil group were kept in a hypoxic chamber containing 10% +/- 0.5% oxygen, and the animals in the control group were kept in a normal environment, and the control solvent or drugs continued to be given continuously for 14 days. The right ventricular systolic pressure, right ventricular hypertrophy index, organ indices and other metrics were measured in the experimental endpoints. Meantime, the expression levels of the inflammatory factors in mice lung tissues were measured. The potential therapeutic targets of DYY on pulmonary hypertension were predicted using network pharmacology, the expression of nuclear factor kappa B (NF- kappaB) signaling pathway-related proteins were measured by Western blot assay. It was found that DYY significantly reduced the right ventricular systolic pressure, attenuated lung injury and decreased the expression of inflammatory factors in mice. It can also inhibit hypoxia-induced activation of NF- kappaB signaling pathway. DYY has a protective effect on lung function, as demonstrated by DYY has good efficacy in HPH, and preventive administration can slow down the disease progression, and its mechanism may be related to inhibit the activation of NF-kappaB and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) by DYY.Copyright © 2023, Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the physical and mental condition and medicine consumption of medical staff of shelter hospitals in Shanghai during the fight against the epidemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods A total of 144 frontline medical staff who fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic from a tertiary first-class hospital from Apr. 4 to May 12, 2022 were surveyed by questionnaires online. Their physical condition including body weight change before the medical work and one month later, sleep quality and the medicine consumption during the medical work were collected and analyzed. Results The mean body weight of frontline doctors before the medical work and one month later were (69.80+/-8.35) kg and (68.60+/-7.37) kg, while those of nurses were (55.36+/-8.27) kg and (53.80+/-7.38) kg, both showing a decreasing trend but without significant difference (all P0.05). A total of 63.89% (92/144) frontline medical staff suffered from insomnia, of which 27.08% (39/144) needed drug intervention. The top 5 common diseases among frontline medical staff were sleep disorder (63.89%, 92/144), skin injury (25.69%, 37/144), body pain (23.61%, 34/144), oral ulcer (13.19%, 19/144), and acute upper respiratory tract infection (9.72%, 14/144). A total of 155 medical staff used drugs, and the top 5 common drugs were skin application (16.77%, 26/155), Ganmao'an granule (12.26%, 19/155), zolpidem tartrate tablets (11.61%, 18/155), Kangfuxin liquid (11.61%, 18/155), and celecoxib capsules (8.39%, 13/155). Conclusion Frontline medical staff in shelter hospitals are prone to have body weight change, sleep disorder, skin injury, body pain, oral ulcer, acute upper respiratory tract infection and so on, which suggests that in future similar large-scale medical support, it is necessary to pay sufficient attention to the physical condition of frontline medical staff and provide them sufficient medicine.Copyright © 2022, Second Military Medical University Press. ABSTRACT

Intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) theory can be applied for multi-aspect systems due to its capability to address uncertainty and incomplete information in terms of membership and non-membership degrees. Unfortunately, classical Γ -structures cannot handle fuzzy and imprecise information in real problems. In fact, there is no rigorous base to practically express the effectiveness of multi-attribute systems in IFS environment. Here, we develop a generalized IFS with the notion of Γ -module called intuitionistic fuzzy Γ -submodule (IF Γ M) to establish a novel " Global electronic (e)-Commerce (GeC) Theory ". To simplify the analysis of parameters, (α , β) -cut representation is proposed in terms of comprehensive distribution of fuzzy number for the classification of components. On the other hand, Cartesian product is implemented to correspond the elements. Substantial properties of IF Γ M including (α , β) -cut, Cartesian product and t -intuitionistic fuzzy Γ -submodule (t -IF Γ M) are characterized with illustrative examples to extend the framework of IF Γ M, where (α , β) -cut and support t -IF Γ M are verified to be Γ -submodules based on the properties of IF Γ M. Through Γ -module homomorphism, image and inverse image, the parametric connections between (α , β) -cuts are systematically investigated. In addition, a mathematical relationship between the Cartesian product and (α , β) -cut is determined. The overlapping intersection of a collection of t -IF Γ M is proved to be t -IF Γ M, and the image and inverse image are preserved under Γ -module homomorphism. As global e -trades are increasingly expanding after the recent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) hit, with the growth of 26.7-trillion dollars, businesses are required to transform their traditional functional natures to online (or blended) strategies for cost efficiency and self-survival in the present competitive environment. Therefore, compared to recent studies on IFS in the context of Γ -structures, the main contribution of this study is to provide a theoretical basis for the establishment of a new GeC Theory through the developed IF Γ M method and Γ -module M which targets the purchasing rate of customers through e -commerce companies. In the end, the performance of the proposed method in terms of upper and lower cut, t -intuitionistic fuzzy set, support and IF Γ M model, is analyzed in the developed GeC Theory. The proposed GeC Theory is validated using real datasets of e -commerce mega companies, i.e., Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, Shopify. They are characterized based on the amount of online shopping by samples (individuals). Compared to the existing methods, the GeC approach is an effective IFS-based method for complex systems with uncertainty. ABSTRACT

Sanhan Huashi formula(SHF) is the intermediate of a newly approved traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) Sanhan Huashi Granules for the treatment of COVID-19 infection. The chemical composition of SHF is complex since it contains 20 single herbal medicines. In this study, UHPLC-Orbitrap Exploris 240 was used to identify the chemical components in SHF and in rat plasma, lung and feces after oral administration of SHF, and heat map was plotted for characterizing the distribution of the chemical components. Chromatographic separation was conducted on a Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH C_(18)(2.1 mm×100 mm, 1.7 µm) using 0.1% formic acid(A)-acetonitrile(B) as mobile phases in a gradient elution. Electrospray ionization(ESI) source was used to acquire data in positive and negative mode. By reference to quasi-molecular ions and MS/MS fragment ions and in combination with MS spectra of reference substances and compound information in literature reports, 80 components were identified in SHF, including 14 flavonoids, 13 coumarins, 5 lignans, 12 amino-compounds, 6 terpenes and 30 other compounds; 40 chemical components were identified in rat plasma, 27 in lung and 56 in feces. Component identification and characterization of SHF in vitro and in vivo lay foundations for disclosure of its pharmacodynamic substances and elucidation of the scientific connotation.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of Suhexiang Pills () in the treatment of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Methods A total of 192 patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 admitted to 17 hospitals including Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University from December 2022 to January 2023 were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 89 patients in the treatment group and 103 in the control group. The patients in control group received basic treatment according to the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for COVID-19 (Trial Version 10). The patients in treatment group were oral administered with Suhexiang Pills on the basis of the control group, one pill each time, twice day. The patients in two groups were treated for 5 d. The clinical efficacy of the two groups after treatment was compared. The differences in scores of headache, chest pain, limb pain and inflammatory indexes before and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was 95.51%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (81.55%, P < 0.05). After treatment, headache, chest pain and limb pain scores were significantly decreased in both groups (P < 0.05), the headache score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group from the first day of treatment (P < 0.05), the chest pain score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group on the fifth day of treatment (P < 0.05), the limb pain score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group from the third day of treatment (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the two groups were decreased significantly (P < 0.05) and the levels of CRP and IL-6 in the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups. Conclusion Suhexiang Pills have a certain effect on headache, chest pain and limb pain, inhibiting the inflammatory response in patients infected with SARS-CoV-2, with good safety.Copyright © 2023 Editorial Office of Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs. ABSTRACT

Aim To explore the active compound of Maxingganshi decoction in treatment of novel coronavirus pneumonia(COVID-19). Methods With the help of TCMSP database, the chemical components and action targets of ephedra, almond, licorice, and gypsum in Maxingganshi decoction were searched, and then a C-T network, protein interaction analysis, GO functional enrichment analysis, and KEGG pathway enrichment were constructed. Analysis was performed to predict its mechanism of action. Results A total of 120 compounds in Maxingganshi decoction corresponded to 222 targets. PTGS2, ESR1, PPARG, AR, NOS2, NCOA2 acted on PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, TNF signaling pathway, IL-17 signaling pathway, T cell receptor signaling pathways, etc. The results of molecular docking showed that the affinity of quercetin, kaempferol, glabridin and other core compounds was similar to recommended drugs in treatment of COVID-19. ABSTRACT

At a global scale COVID-19 has impacted virtually every single one of us. For many people one of the most significant impacts has been the changes to the way we use our leisure time;both for our own personal exercise and how we interact with professional sport. This chapter will explore these changes by drawing on three case studies. First, at a local scale it will consider the changing everyday geographies of sport and leisure as a consequence of the restrictions imposed on parks, gyms and recreational sports facilities. Second, nationally, golf provides an insightful case study as it was one of the first sports to be deemed viable again post-lockdown, both recreationally and professionally. Third, at the global scale, Formula 1 has been required to adapt, turning initially to e-sport racing as an alternative to conventional motor racing. Through these case studies this chapter will discuss how the spaces that are used for sport have evolved in response to COVID-19, how new spaces have emerged and how previously minor sports cultures have come to the fore. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2022.

ABSTRACT

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has played an important role in the prevention and treatment of novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). Qingfei Paidu decoction, as a general prescription of Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia from the sixth to eighth versions, has been proved effective clinically and is suitable for mild, moderate, severe, and critical patients. It can significantly improve clinical symptoms such as fever, cough, asthma, fatigue, etc. On the basis of the findings of relevant research papers, this paper summarized the TCM understanding of COVID-19, including etiology, pathogenesis, disease location, and treatment, and concluded that the disease is caused by the pestilential Qi, localized in the lungs, and can affect the five organs. It is mainly characterized by coldness, dampness, heat, toxicity, stasis, and deficiency. In response to the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease, the therapeutic principles at all stages are dominated by the elimination of pathogens and removal of toxicity. According to the stages of disease development, the treatment should combine the severity of the disease and the course of the disease with the TCM syndromes. Furthermore, from the clinical application of Qingfei Paidu decoction, this paper discussed the therapeutic intention of "Qingfei(clearing of lungs)" and "Paidu(removal of toxicity)". Qingfei Paidu decoction can clear the pathogenic toxin in the lungs and eliminate external pestilential Qi, which is in line with the therapeutic principles for this pandemic by regulating the triple energizer and protecting healthy Qi using both coldness and warmth to treat both the symptoms and the root cause. Additionally, the experimental research progress on Qingfei Paidu decoction and its modified prescriptions were summarized. As studied, this prescription can inhibit cytokine storm, moderate the overactive immune response, potentiate the immune function and anti-viral ability of the body, and exert its effect on COVID-19 with multiple components, multiple targets, multiple pathways, and multiple biological functions. In conclusion, Qingfei Paidu decoction, as a core prescription for the treatment of COVID-19, can rapidly contain the development of COVID-19, which has been confirmed in terms of TCM theory, clinical efficacy, and experimental research.Copyright © 2022, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Institute of Chinese Materia Medica. ABSTRACT

Forecasting the epidemic peak time right from the origination of a disease is vital to take over dynamical behaviour of its spread over time. The decision of isolation, social distance and lock down strategic progresses does all rely on an accurate prediction of the peak time so that reduction of the time of peak or of the infected size of population will be made possible. Therefore, recent efforts concentrated on deriving elaborative and analytically accessible expressions representing the peak time of the infected compartment from the classical SIR epidemic mathematical model. In this research paper, two closed-form formulae are introduced to yield a straightforward computation of peak time of an infectious disease with no restrictions on the SIR quantities. In addition to this, the calculations can be implemented on a usual calculator, without requiring the use of advanced mathematical functions, having provided the initial fractions of infected and susceptible populations as well as the recovery to infectious ratio. A comparison including the COVID-19 data is fulfilled with the very recent formulas available in the open literature. With the proposed new scalings, evaluation of the peak time is reduced only to two parameter space and the accuracy of the present formulas in reduced form is ultimately confirmed yielding an error of order of magnitude 10−4 valid for the complete regime of the set of SIR model parameters. Even in the case of an endemic, the past peak time of the illness can also be captured accurately by the given formulae. Two simple approximations in terms of usual geometric series are also provided. These can be safely used with a pocket calculator without sophisticated laboratory equipments.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 52 patients with coronavirus disease-2019 COVID-19 and explore the clinical efficacy of modified Sanxiaoyin on mild/moderate COVID-19 patients. Method(s): The propensity score matching method was used to collect the clinical data of mild or moderate COVID-19 patients enrolled in the designated hospital of the Second Hospital of Jingzhou from December 2019 to May 2020. A total of 26 eligible patients who were treated with modified Sanxiaoyin were included in the observation group,and the 26 patients treated with conventional method were the regarded as the control. The disappearance of clinical symptoms,disappearance time of main symptoms,efficacy on traditional Chinese medicineTCMsymptoms,hospitalization duration,laboratory test indicators,and CT imaging changes in the two groups were compared. Result(s): The general data in the two groups were insignificantly different and thus they were comparable. After 7 days of treatment,the disappearance rate of fever,cough, fatigue,dry throat,anorexia,poor mental state,and poor sleep quality in the observation group was higher than that in the control groupP<0.05,and the difference in the disappearance rate of expectoration and chest distress was insignificant. For the cases with the disappearance of symptoms,the main symptomsfever, cough,fatigue,dry throat,anorexia,chest distressdisappeared earlier in the observation group than in the control groupP<0.01. After 7 days of treatment,the scores of the TCM symptom scale of both groups decreasedP<0.01,and the decrease of the observation group was larger that of the control groupP<0.01. All patients in the two groups were cured and discharged. The average hospitalization duration in the observation group12.79+/-2.68dwas shorter than that in the control group15.27+/-3.11dP<0.01. The effective rate in the observation group92.31%,24/26was higher than that in the control group76.92%,20/26. After 7 days of treatment,the lymphocyteLYMcount increasedP<0.05,and white blood cellWBCcount and neutrophilNEUTcount decreased insignificantly in the two groups. Moreover,levels of C-reactive protein CRP,erythrocyte sedimentation rateESR,and procalcitoninPCTreduced in the two groups after treatmentP<0.01and the reduction in the observation group was larger than that in the control group P<0.01. Through 7 days of treatment,the total effective rate on pulmonary shadow in the observation group 90.00%,18/20was higher than that in the control group77.27%,17/22P>0.05and the improvement of lung shadow in the observation group was better than that in the control groupP<0.01. Conclusion(s):Modified Sanxiaoyin can significantly alleviate fever,cough,fatigue,anorexia,chest distress,poor sleep quality,and other symptoms of patients with mild or moderate COVID-19,improve biochemical indicators,and promote the recovery of lung function. ABSTRACT

Objective: Pneumonia is an infectious inflammation of the alveoli,distal airway,and interstitium caused by bacterial,viral,and other pathogens. Maxing Shigantang,originated from Treatise On Cold Damage Diseases,is a classic prescription for treating pneumonia,with significant clinical efficacy. However,its treatment mechanism is still elusive. Method(s): In that paper,the transcriptome-based multi-scale network pharmacology was used to reveal the overall pharmacological mechanism of Maxing Shigantang in treating pneumonia from six scales of tissue,cell,pathological process,biological process,signaling pathway, and target. Result(s):At the tissue level,Maxing Shigantang mainly acted on the focal tissue of pneumonia-lung and the main inflammatory immune tissues-blood and spleen. Analysis of cell,pathological process and biological process suggested that Maxing Shigantang could treat pneumonia by reversing inflammatory and immune functions and improving cardiopulmonary and vascular injury caused by pneumonia. Analysis of signaling pathway and target showed that Maxing Shigantang regulated inflammatory immune response pathways such as "coronavirus disease-COVID-19" and "Toll-like receptor signaling pathway",and related targets such as "MAPKAPK3" and "NRG1". Conclusion(s):This paper,from molecular to tissue levels,indicated Maxing Shigantang treated pneumonia mainly by regulating inflammatory immune response and improving cardiopulmonary and vascular injury.Copyright © 2023, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Institute of Chinese Materia Medica. ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Influenza can fall into three categories according to severity: mild influenza, severe influenza, and critical influenza. Severe influenza can result in critical illness and sometimes death particularly in patients with comorbidities, advanced age, or pregnancy. Neuraminidase inhibitors (NAIs) are the only antiviral drugs in widespread use for influenza. However, the effectiveness of NAIs against severe influenza is uncertain. New effective drugs or regimens are therefore urgently needed. Qiangzhu-qinggan (QZQG) formula has been found to be effective against influenza virus infection during long-term application in China, which lacks support of evidence-based clinical trial till now. This study is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of QZQG formula as an adjuvant therapy in adult patients with severe influenza. METHODS: This protocol is drawn up in accordance with the SPIRIT guidelines and CONSORT Extension for Chinese herbal medicine formulas. This is a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, multicenter trial. Two hundred twenty-eight adults with severe influenza are randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to QZQG or placebo for 7 days. All participants need to receive 1 day of screening before randomization, 7 days of intervention, and 21 days of observation after randomization. The primary outcome is the proportion of clinical improvement, defined as the proportion of patients who met the criteria of 3 points or less in the seven-category ordinal scale or 2 points or less in National Early Warning Score 2 within 7 days after randomization. DISCUSSION: This is the first randomized, controlled, parallel, double-blind clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese herbal formula granules as an adjuvant therapy in adult patients with severe influenza. This study aims to redefine the value of traditional Chinese herbal medicines in the treatment of virus-related respiratory infectious diseases and serves as an example of evidence-based clinical trials of other Chinese herbal medicines.

ABSTRACT

A novel coronavirus infection was described in 2019 in Wuhan, China. From the first months of the spread of the infection around the world, evidence began to appear that patients after recovery had various symptoms. Duration, intensity, and variability of symptoms vary among patients and are often not associated with the severity of the most acute illness. Recently the concept of post-COVID syndrome (postCOVID or long-COVID in the English-language literature) has acquired increasingly clear diagnostic criteria. Persistent symptoms and / or the appearance of delayed complications after 4 weeks or more from the onset of symptoms of an acute illness are commonly called post-COVID syndrome. The wide range of symptoms that can occur in patients with post-COVID syndrome is now a major health concern worldwide. A proper clinical evaluation will help determine the etiology and build a treatment plan. Longer studies aimed at identifying the effects of COVID-19, possible risk factors for their development, a detailed study of the pathogenetic mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2, and the development of treatment and rehabilitation methods to improve the mental and physical health of surviving patients are relevant elements of study for the foreseeable future. T-lymphocytes are a poorly studied population of T lymphocytes. These cells are more often localized in the mucous membranes of the body which have the properties of innate and acquired immunity. The main biological functions are cytolysis, immunoregulation which indicates an important immunocompetent role of this type of cell population in severe infectious diseases. This article provides information on the fraction of T-lymphocytes during the formation of adaptive immunity in patients with post-COVID syndrome.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we construct a novel family of fractional-type integral operators of a function (Formula presented.) by replacing sample values (Formula presented.) with the fractional mean values of that function. We give some explicit formulas for higher order moments of the proposed operators and investigate some approximation properties. We also define the fractional variants of Mirakyan–Favard–Szász and Baskakov-type operators and calculate the higher order moments of these operators. We give an explicit formula for fractional derivatives of proposed operators with the help of the Caputo-type fractional derivative Furthermore, several graphical and numerical results are presented in detail to demonstrate the accuracy, applicability, and validity of the proposed operators. Finally, an illustrative real-world example associated with the recent trend of Covid-19 has been investigated to demonstrate the modeling capabilities of fractional-type integral operators. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

ABSTRACT

Gut microbiota is believed to be a major determinant of health outcomes. We hypothesised that a novel oral microbiome formula (SIM01) can reduce the risk of adverse health outcomes in at-risk subjects during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this single-centre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial, we recruited subjects aged ≥65 years or with type two diabetes mellitus. Eligible subjects were randomised in a 1:1 ratio to receive three months of SIM01 or placebo (vitamin C) within one week of the first COVID-19 vaccine dose. Both the researchers and participants were blinded to the groups allocated. The rate of adverse health outcomes was significantly lower in the SIM01 group than the placebo at one month (6 [2.9%] vs. 25 [12.6], p < 0.001) and three months (0 vs. 5 [3.1%], p = 0.025). At three months, more subjects who received SIM01 than the placebo reported better sleep quality (53 [41.4%] vs. 22 [19.3%], p < 0.001), improved skin condition (18 [14.1%] vs. 8 [7.0%], p = 0.043), and better mood (27 [21.2%] vs. 13 [11.4%], p = 0.043). Subjects who received SIM01 showed a significant increase in beneficial Bifidobacteria and butyrate-producing bacteria in faecal samples and strengthened the microbial ecology network. SIM01 reduced adverse health outcomes and restored gut dysbiosis in elderly and diabetes patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

Bali is one of the islands known as a tourist destination with the main purpose of traveling to Bali to enjoy the beauty of nature. Various tourist activities in Bali are well known both nationally and internationally. With so many types of tours available in Bali, travelers, especially first-time visitors, may need a guide on the tourist attractions they want to visit in Bali. However, some tourists, especially backpackers, backpackers are known to explore tourist attractions independently, freely, and with as little budget as possible. Concerning this statement and the decline in tourists to Bali due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the author decided to use the Haversine formula to develop a geographic information system for smart backpacker travel recommendations. with this problem. This Android application helps tourists travel from registration to tour guides. Implementing the Haversine formula in your app is equivalent to up to 88% of the distance reported by the Google Maps API. These results are used as a recommendation function for the selection of attractions by showing the distance between the previous backpacker's location selection and attractions. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Network pharmacology is a method to study the mechanism of a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) prescription on a disease. However, most articles using network pharmacology to study the mechanism did not combine the weight information of herbs, the weight information of targets of disease, and the interaction information between targets together. We propose a method, network pharmacology combined with two iterations of PageRank algorithm, to make use of these information. It takes prescription-disease system as a whole, calculates PageRank score of targets in the prescription-disease system, which means an importance in the system, and the score is used to rank the analysis results of GO and KEGG pathway which help us to analyze the mechanism of a prescription on a disease. At last, we use two prescription-disease pairs which have been proved effectiveness in clinical trials: Qingfei Paidu Decoction on COVID-19, and FuFang DanShen Diwan on Coronary Heart Disease, and find that the results of our method are consistent with some results of clinical trials.Copyright © 2021
